Galapate, Ritchelita P.
Ritchelita P. Galapate is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of UP Cebu. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in UP Cebu. Her research interests are water quality assessment, water pollution, water treatment, and environmental toxicology. She has published in international and local refereed journals. Her publications have received at least 252 citations with an h-index of 5. Her research outputs have been presented in international and local conferences of professional and scientific organizations. She has volunteered as resource person in various trainings and workshops on environmental education for public high school and elementary school teachers in Cebu Province and in Masbate. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Engineering (major in Environmental Science) from Hiroshima University, Japan. Ritchelita P. Galapate is a native of Siaton, Negros Oriental. She presently resides in Cebu City.
