WHO WE ARE

The Institution Building Office aims to improve the capability of the UP System as an agent of change for disaster resilience in the Philippines and the Pacific Rim region. Our team has been conducting capacity building activities with regard to disaster resilience since 2019. In particular, we conduct workshops on the crafting Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plans (DRRMP), Public Service Continuity Plans (PSCP), and Contingency Plans (CP) in all UP Constituent Units, and partner Local Government Units (LGUs).

Our office also leads in the establishment of UP Resilience Institute Affiliate Hubs across all UP CUs.

We have been involved as well in several disaster response activities – post disaster needs assessment, emergency shelter operations, and donation drive for areas affected by various natural and biological hazards all over the country.
