Severe Weather Events Monitored in 2017

UP Resilience Institute and UP NOAH Center monitored various severe weather events that occurred in 2017.

 

Tropical Storm “AURING” (7-16 Jan 2017)

Gustiness: Up to 70 kph | Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near center

Velocity (wind): 7 kph west-northwest | Rainfall amount: Moderate to heavy within 300 km diameter

 

 

 

 

 

Tropical Storm “URDUJA” (11-23 Dec 2017)

Gustiness: Up to 90 kph | Strength (wind): 65 kph

Velocity (wind): 6 kph northwest | Rainfall amount: Moderate to heavy rain within 400 km diameter
