A critical lens on climate change is needed to ensure that no one is left behind.
‘EcoTayo: Ugnayan sa Klima for Resilient Communities’ is a project of Plan International Pilipinas that aims to address the impact of climate change through a youth-powered movement. Young people convene, discuss and generate transformative ideas that can lead towards responsive policymaking and inclusive programs.
The inception workshop in Tacloban was held last December 20 to 22, 2025. The first day focused on the introduction of key concepts on climate change, urban risks, and local climate impacts. They also discussed gender, disability, and social inclusion linked to climate action. On the second day, Director of the UPRI Knowledge Sharing Division, Dr. Likha Minimo, discussed climate projections and local climate scenarios to ensure that solutions are science-based and context-specific.
