UP RI conducts Building Inspections in the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in UP Diliman

The Institution Building (IB) Office of the UP Resilience Institute (UP RI) conducted an initial building inspection in the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) in UP Diliman on 27 July 2023. This is in line with their upcoming Emergency Preparedness Planning Training-Workshop scheduled in September. The buildings currently utilized by CSSP that were inspected include Palma Main Hall, Pavilion 1 (3rd floor), Pavilion 2, Pavilion 4, Lagmay Hall, and Silangang Palma. The IB Team was accompanied by the building administrators of each respective building during the inspection.

A checklist developed by Ms. Daffodil Cleto of UP RI was used during the building inspection. The checklist encompasses several areas that must be inspected such as the existing Crisis Plans and Emergency Preparedness of the building, the exterior and grounds, the corridors, floors, stairwells, exits, bathrooms, custodial services, and maintenance rooms, offices, classrooms, libraries, laboratories, playgrounds, athletic facilities, and gymnasium, and dormitories. During the inspection, the IB team only looked into the areas applicable to the buildings of CAL.
