The Future Earth Philippines Program (FEPP) is a multi-sectoral and transdisciplinary endeavor that seeks to strengthen the country’s sustainability and resilience through science-based solutions. FEPP was inspired from Future Earth, a 10-year international scientific endeavor that aims to provide the critical knowledge required for societies to face challenges posed by global environmental change and to identify opportunities for a transition to global sustainability. The initiative to establish FEPP was proposed by the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) along with a group of scientists in 2017. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) supported the FEPP exploratory phase from September 2018 to December 2019.
