The UP Office for the Initiatives in Culture and the Arts opens the year 2024 with a series of performances and exhibits from different departments of the university to commemorate the 75th year since the relocation of the Oblation from Padre Faura to the Diliman campus. The theme of the festival, “Pamamalagi at Pamamahagi,” highlights the symbolism of the Oblation’s settling in Diliman and its continuing legacy of “nurturing and disrupting knowledge within and beyond the UP community.”
Project proponents and coordinators for the Festival met on February 2 at the UP Theater lobby for a general orientation given by OICA Director, Prof. Monica Santos. Director Santos allowed project proponents and coordinators to present their overview of their respective projects.
To be launched on February 29, OICA’s Arts and Culture Festival 2024 is set to hold a series of shows, exhibits, and other performances until July 2024.
