The 2025 Quezon City Green Awards, now in its third year, recognizes outstanding initiatives in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Action. The program has broadened its scope to include more sectors such as NGOs, CSOs, POs, and nano-enterprises alongside barangays, schools, businesses, hospitals, and youth groups, recognizing their collective efforts toward a safer, greener, and more resilient community through inclusive and sustainable practices.
On October 7, 2025, Ms. Jerzyne Anne Corpuz, representing the UP Resilience Institute – Institution Building Division, participated in the judging of the 2025 Quezon City Green Awards alongside Alexander P. Pama (Chair of the National Resilience) and Dr. Joseph B. Baraceza The judging took place at the 3rd Floor Conference Room, DRRMO Building, Quezon City Hall Compound, Kalayaan Avenue, Quezon City.

During this phase, the judges evaluated 10 Barangays and 4 Youth Organizations using the official QC Green Awards Scorecard, which assesses participants based on their initiatives in disaster risk reduction, climate action, and environmental management. The session highlighted innovative and community-driven solutions that promote resilience and sustainability at the local level.

The next round of judging is set for October 14 & 16, 2025, to continue the evaluation of other categories and to recognize exemplary local initiatives that advance Quezon City’s vision of environmental sustainability and disaster resilience.
