Last January 25, 2024, the University of the Philippines Resilience Institute (UP RI) was represented by IB Director Prof. Genaro Cuaresma, IB Chief Jose Abraham Ongkiko, Researchers Jonathan David Maligalig and Franklin Joshua Gali in a meeting on the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Phase 3 Operations in New Clark City. Joining them were UP Manila’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health Office (DRRM-H) representatives Dr. Carlos Primero Gundran, Ceejay A. Sandoval, and Eleanor Diane Dequina.
The meeting revolved around the refinement of the operations and floor plans for the DENR redundant office located at the National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) in New Clark City. Specifically, details on the responsibilities, scope, and deliverables of the office were discussed.

After all initial preparations and requirements were presented, the floor was open for suggestions from the UP RI representatives. Prof. Cuaresma requested clarifications in terms of the timeline and changes to the floor plan. Moving forward, DRRM-H promised to work on these suggestions to improve on the implementation of the office plans.
