2nd Central Luzon Stakeholder Planning Meeting for Emergency Medical Simulation

The Second Stakeholder Planning Meeting for the Emergency Medical Simulation Exercise (SimEx) was successfully conducted on May 18, 2026, at the City Civic Center in San Fernando, Pampanga. The meeting brought together representatives from government agencies, private medical institutions, partner organizations, and the UP Resilience Institute (UPRI), including Dr. Carlos Primero Gundran and Jerzyne Anne Corpuz.

Organized by A-PAD PH in partnership with the City of San Fernando Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), the meeting focused on the presentation and assessment of the draft SimEx scenarios, coordination mechanisms, and operational preparations for the upcoming emergency medical simulation drill.

Participants actively shared recommendations and insights to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, emergency response strategies, and disaster preparedness efforts in Central Luzon. Discussions also clarified the roles and responsibilities of participating organizations during the conduct of the actual simulation exercise.

As part of the continuing preparations, A-PAD PH announced that the next controllers’ preparation meeting will be held on June 4, 2026. Meanwhile, observers from the UP Resilience Institute (UPRI), together with representatives from other participating agencies and organizations, are set to take part in the Emergency Medical Simulation Exercise scheduled on June 16–17, 2026, in support of ongoing initiatives to enhance community resilience and emergency preparedness.
