On January 13, 2026, the division held a coordination meeting with the UP Cebu Safety and Security Unit to discuss the proposed framework and initial steps for drafting the Public Service Continuity Plan of UP Cebu. During the meeting, Mr. Jose Abraham Ongkiko and Ms. Jerzyne Anne Corpuz presented the objectives and key components of the PSCP and discussed possible institutional arrangements and coordination mechanisms. Special Police Officer Joseph Patecik Guieb shared his experiences during the September, 2025 earthquake and expressed his commitment to supporting and working toward the development and implementation of the plan.
It was further agreed that once the proposed framework is finalized, close coordination with the Safety and Security Unit will be undertaken to support the drafting, refinement, and eventual implementation of the Public Service Continuity Plan of UP Cebu.

On January 14, 2026, UPRI met with the UP Cebu Center for Environmental Informatics (CENVI) to discuss the status of the proposed collaboration, the requirements and expectations of the Resilience Hubs, and the shared vision for UPRI–CENVI activities in 2026. The meeting was attended by Ms. Teresa Calire Alicaba, Mr. Ruyan Ciriaco Dulaca, Mr. Jao Bañados, Ms. Isabelle Pauline Quijano, Ms. Liezyl Anne Gomez, and Mr. Percival Forcadilla. During the discussion, the CENVI team provided updates on the proposal and requested UPRI’s assistance in coordinating with the UP System for the possible project requirements.
