As communities continue to face recurring hazards such as typhoons, flooding, and extreme heat, we are reminded of how essential disaster preparedness and risk reduction are in protecting lives and livelihoods. Strengthening awareness and building capacity remain essential to ensuring that individuals and communities are better equipped to respond to and recover from disasters.
The 𝗨𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 and 𝗨𝗣 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 are pleased to announce the relaunch of the second half of courses from the 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗙𝗼𝗥 𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗖𝘀).
Insights from past learners highlight that the courses are informative and highly relevant, particularly in strengthening understanding of risk, hazards, and the foundations of disaster resilience. Many shared that the program helped them better appreciate their role in building resilience within their communities, while others emphasized the practical and applicable nature of the lessons even for those outside the DRRM field.


These free, modular, and self-paced online courses are designed to equip students, professionals, DRR practitioners, and the public with practical knowledge and strategies to better anticipate risks, make informed decisions, and contribute to building resilient and disaster-ready communities.
