UP Resilience Institute Participates in Executive Course Training for the Emergency Operations Center

On May 28, 2026, the UP Resilience Institute (UPRI) participated in the Executive Course on Emergency Operations Center (EOC) held at the Subic Bay Peninsular Hotel in Subic. The one-day training was hosted by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

UPRI was represented by Institution Building Division Director Dr. Gundran and Junior Project Assistant Jonathan David Maligalig

The training brought together participants from different organizations to learn about the roles and functions of the Emergency Operations Center during disasters and emergencies. Discussions focused on how the EOC supports coordination, information management, and decision-making to help ensure an organized emergency response.

The activity also highlighted the importance of having a functional Emergency Operations Center in strengthening disaster preparedness and improving coordination among responding agencies.
